Fit Finder App

UX Design

About

I wanted to create an app for women to help them find their size in jeans. Unlike men’s, women’s jean sizing uses arbitrary numbers instead of waist and length measurements. These sizes vary greatly between brands, and it can be very difficult for women to find the right size. My app would solve that problem by telling users their size based on their measurements.

Process

My first step was to do user research to see if there was a need for this app, and what kind of features people would want. I sent out surveys and conducted interviews and received a lot of great information to start planning out my app. Based on this feedback, I created a few personas to help guide my design.

I used my personas to make user flows, or a flow chart of how each person would use the app. These user flows guided how I would design the product and what features would need to be included.

After drawing out the basic wireframes on paper, I mocked them up in Adobe XD. I built onto these wireframes and created a prototype, which I sent out to people for more user testing. After that, I made the final prototype in XD. I hope to revisit this project in the future and continue making improvements.
